Young Plant is a boutique wedding photography and cinema studio based on the East Coast, led by founder and creative director Jason Wright.

This was created from a love of honest imagery - photographs and films that feel lived-in, artful, and emotionally true. Our work is not about over-directing a wedding day or turning it into something it was never meant to be. It is about noticing what is already there: the atmosphere, the movement, the people, the design, the emotion, and the quiet moments that hold everything together.

With a background in both photography and filmmaking, Jason leads each wedding with a clear creative point of view and a deep respect for the experience unfolding in front of him. Young Plant offers photography and cinema as individual commissions or as a unified studio experience, supported by a trusted team selected for the scale and rhythm of each celebration.

We believe wedding imagery should feel beautiful without feeling distant, refined without feeling forced, and timeless without losing the life of the day.

The philosophy

Our approach is rooted in presence. We are not interested in turning a wedding into a production that feels separate from the people inside it. We move quietly, observe closely, and look for the moments that carry weight - the atmosphere of a room, the movement between people, the emotion just beneath the surface, the way a place begins to feel inseparable from the memory of the day.

Every photograph and film is created with the same intention: to preserve the beauty, emotion, texture, and truth of a celebration as it actually felt.
